#LoveTrumpsHate

January 20, 2017

For many people in the LGBTQ+ community, as well as women, immigrants, people of color, and progressive individuals, today’s change in leadership is emotional. It’s surrounded by worry, stress and even fear about the direction of our country and our local community.

We must renew our commitment to listen to and learn from each other, to speak out against injustice, and to be a voice for those who have no voice.  We must speak loudly in protest against homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, racism, sexism and all other forms of oppression.

The Center remains committed to supporting our San Antonio LGBTQ+ community. Now more than ever, we must defend equality and acceptance, build on the momentum we have achieved, and double down on our work to see that San Antonio has a physical walk-in center to provide a safe, caring and supportive space that will allow us to expand programming and services for all of our community, including our allies.

We are a strong and resilient community that will persevere, a community that has always risen to the challenges that face us, and we will continue to work together towards positive change. We invite you to join with us as we continue our path forward towards empowering San Antonio’s LGBTQ+ community.

Help us open a walk-in center in early 2017. We invite you to become a monthly donor of $10 or more. Donate Today to help offset rent and utilities!
