#HonorThemWithAction

June 5, 2017

June 12 is the one-year mark that the nation was deeply saddened by the tragic news of the horrific mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida. We joined with the LGBTQ community across the country in mourning the killing of our sisters and brothers.

As a community, we denounce the violence against all LGBTQ+ people. We are asking you to join us once again to #HonorThemWithAction.

On Monday, June 12, we will gather at MCC San Antonio to join others across the world for an international virtual service broadcast from Orlando to remember those affected by the Pulse tragedy. June 12 at 6pm at MCC San Antonio, 611 E. Myrtle St., San Antonio, TX 78212.

Then on Saturday, June 17, we are calling on our fellow LGBTQ+ San Antonians to join us in a day of service to #HonorThemWithAction with acts of love, kindness, and compassion. The Center has partnered with MCC San Antonio Food Pantry and Roy Maas Youth Alternatives for a variety of service opportunities that directly impact LGBTQ+ lives.
