Queer Voices

The Esperanza Peace and Justice Center is pleased to announce that we are hosting Queer Voices, in celebration of Pride Month, and in collaboration with the Pride Center SA to present a night of poetry, entertainment, food, and drink on June 30, starting at 6 PM at the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center 922 San Pedro, San Antonio TX 78212. This is a free event. but tickets can be reserved online at https://bit.ly/QueerVoices2022
The event starts at 6 PM with a Blessing Ceremony by SanArte Healing & Cultura Clinic and is hosted by Anel Flores and Chibbi. The show starts at 7 PM and ends at 9:30 PM.
Festivities include:
- A mini mercadito by Very That
- Featuring DJ De La O
- Poetry by Aminah Decé, jo reyes-boitel, and Space Dragn
- Music by Alyson Alonzo, Nayam Cardenas-Lopez, and Wayne Holtz
- Burlesque & Drag performances by Mx. Smokey Bear & Truly Vayne
- Food provided
- Drinks courtesy of Tasty Aguas Frescas
Masks are encouraged.
Parking for this event will be available at San Antonio College parking lot #28 and at the Planned Parenthood parking lot at 920 San Pedro. A parking pass/permit for the dashboard is needed from Esperanza to avoid towing at Planned Parenthood.
