Pride Center Is Going Virtual

March 19, 2020

Dear Friends,

Just like you, The Center continues to witness and monitor the far reaching and devastating effects of COVID-19 in San Antonio and beyond. This past Friday we let you know by email, out of an abundance of caution, that we were going to practice social spaciousness and suspend our groups and programs at The Center. Protecting our community is our priority, which is why we have now gone one step further and have suspended our walk-in hours. Our goal is to be your virtual community resource center for the time being. While we put that all into place we are still available by phone, email, and through social media to provide support and resources.

Our hearts feel for the local small businesses, our service industry community, drag performers, and artists that are equally impacted as nonprofits like ours. The Big Give, a multi-city 24-hour day of giving for nonprofits has been canceled as well as the Emerald Ball, a home grown event that benefits The Center’s programs and services. With the cancellation of these critical fundraising events, The Center will undoubtedly feel the challenge and uncertainty as we begin to understand the impact to upcoming programming and funding.

Please consider making a gift to help us get through these unsettling times. Whether it’s a one-time gift of $5 or a monthly gift, any donation, small or big, will help!

DONATE TODAY

In the days, weeks, and maybe months ahead, as we all focus on keeping our families safe, we remain dedicated to supporting you and our community and those that are most vulnerable.

From all of us at The Center, thank you for your continued support.

In love and resilience,

Team Pride Center
