Involved
There are several different ways you can volunteer with The Center and give to the LGBTQ+ community!
We'd love to have you join the team of volunteers!
*Due to the large amoung of volunteer applications we've recieved post election results, we are asking that volunteers be paitent with our staff and expect an email the first week of December for an invitation to a Volunteer Mixer!
Please see our Community Calendar linked below for ways to stop in and come meet the staff and current volunteers!
General Assistance: Greeter, Phones, Data Entry, Newsletter Mailings, Office Administration (This opportunity requires a commitment of no less than 3 hours per shift. Volunteer Drop-in Center hours are 3pm to 8pm; Monday – Thursday and 10am to 1pm on Saturday) We are currently in need of dedicated Drop-in Volunteers at this time. Please feel free to select this option if you’re interested and when we have an opening we will reach out to you!
Program Support: Ongoing support specific to one of the Center’s programs (Volunteer availibilty would need to be when established programs occur.)
Special Events: Hands-on activities at community events. This is a great way to give back a few times a year during our annual programming like Pride Families Spring Celebration, Youth Prorgramming in the Summer, Icon’s Brunch in June, Pride events and Trunk or Treat in the Fall.
Professional Skills: Photographers, Lawyers, Class Facilitators, etc. Lend your skills to our team for a one off event or on a consistent basis!
Host a party!: Host a fundraising party or brunch on behalf of The Center. Help us get funding for our ongoing programs, we can help you brainstorm and bring your fundraising party to life. (Volunteer Host covers the expenses of fundraising party)
