Pride Center San Antonio Announce New Chair and Board Members for 2015
San Antonio, TX (June 22, 2015) – In May, board members of Pride Center San Antonio elected Robert Salcido to assume the role as Board Chair. As Chair, Salcido is responsible for leading the all-volunteer organization. He has been active with Pride Center San Antonio since 2011, a member of the executive team since 2012 and is the San Antonio field organizer for Equality Texas.
“I’ve been involved with the Center since 2011 and have seen the positive direction the organization has taken.” Salcido said. “I also recognize the potential The Center has and the work that is needed for it to become the premier resource center that our community needs and deserves. It’s because of this that we launched a 3 to 5 year strategic planning process earlier this year.”
The Center also announces the election of nine new members to its board of directors. Newly-elected members include: Marlon Anderson, Erika Casasola, Anel I. Flores, Eli Garza, Zaid Haddad Ph.D., Brian Halderman LMSW, Phyllis C. Jendrusch, Michael Riordan and Marco Treinies.
They join returning board members: Naomi Brown LMSW and Julian Ledezma.
